Barbara's primary remedial massage goals are:

  • reduction of pain,
  • the improvement of soft tissue health and muscle condition,
  • the release of muscle tension,
  • the promotion of blood flow and lymph health
  • minimization of scar tissue and adhesion discomfort,
  • improved bone positioning and support, and
  • education regarding correct body posture and carriage.

Remedial massage also boasts an impressive list of secondary benefits including:

  • relaxation of over-extended or improperly used muscles,
  • increased sense of mental well being and calm,
  • heightened awareness of one’s body leading to improved self-care
  • and, as some say, an experience of newfound levels of energy.
